Monster studies
I did this page of monsters / animals yesterday, just to see what I can come up with.
It was well received on my social networks, and one of my friends went on a 'like' binge through my art folders, including one of my studies, which made me realize it might not be a bad idea to do another one based on the monsters.
I have been struggling lately with finding a project, this should kill some time.
No news on the job search, local or globally. It's the holiday season for us Israelis, which may be partly to blame, though I doubt there will be a torrent of phone calls at the end of the month.

Bekalou as Maeda Keiji
During my last anime convention, which happened to be Fanime Con in San Jose, I finally managed to gather the courage to ask a couple (and I literally mean 2) of the cosplayers for their pictures.
One of these cosplayers happened to be Bekalou who gave a panel a day before (and at Animation on Display)
Now I have permission to post the painting I did based on the photo I took of her as Maeda Keiji from Sengoku Basara.
From my con experiences, I noticed that non of the artists were painting the cosplayers, and figured there may be potential there.
What do you think? Would I have an audience if I offered to paint cosplayers?

Fat Ship
I need new business cards for GDC. While I'm happy with the front, I'd like to redesign the back, taking advice I heard at GDC Online.
Thought a fat ship would be fun, so I did some thumbnails, then did variations on my favorite.
Some more progress on the crustaceans, too.
Moved into a hotel in Dublin, CA. Still hoping I find a job soon, it would solve so many problems.

Crabs. New Study Collage
Same idea with the horses. Small goals make it easier to focus.
I'm in Berkeley now, been a week since I landed here. Kinda rushed to get here on Saturday, hoping to get to sketch bomb, ended up abandoning the idea after I took the long way around, since I set my GPS to avoid tolls, and struggling with the parking. Typical Itamar.
Slowly building a schedule and expanding the network, still grasping to the hope I'll find a job soon.
